ACC Supports The Christie Hospital with Donation

Associated Cleaning Contractors surprised our Contracts Manager during Random Act of Kindness Week, with a £500 donation to The Christie Hospital, Manchester.

The team at ACC are proud of Glen Warden, who last year raised £316 for the hospital by completing the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride. Glen also donated more funds with a month of sponsored bike rides, and as it’s a charity close to his heart he’s looking ahead to raising more funds in 2020.

Inspired by Glen’s efforts, ACC also wanted to support the hospital with their Cancer Appeal Fund.  Our Director, Ben Tomprefa and Glen visited The Christie to deliver the cheque personally. As Ben advised, “Most of us are aware of someone affected by cancer, or will do in the future.  Christie’s do such amazing work across the North West, and after seeing the fantastic treatments and help available with the new Proton Beam building, we’re pleased to be able to support them.”

ACC have worked with The Christie a number of times over the years, and most recently with window cleaning at their fantastic Proton Beam Therapy Centre in South Manchester.  The treatment and capabilities here are second to none, and Christie’s is truly something to be proud to help in any way possible.

Our donations and funds raised will go towards their Cancer Appeal Fund, and can be used wherever The Christie needs the support.  They are currently raising funds and working on following projects – a new unit in Macclesfield, and the rebuild of the Paterson building damaged by fire in 2017.
